Ancaster is roughly midway between the market towns of Grantham (8 miles) and Sleaford (6 miles).
The Newark Showground is 12 miles away and Lincoln 20 miles. Ancaster is popular for fishing at the large Woodland Waters attraction, walking on the Viking Way and there is also go-karting, paintball, laser quest, quad biking and 10 pin bowling in the village. RAF Cranwell is only 4 miles away and RAF Barkston Heath which hosts occasional motor sport and model aircraft flying events is less than 2 miles away.
