The house was built in the early 1800’s and was opened as a stately maternity hospital in 1834 and remained so up to the year 1983, making it 175 years old. If you are flying in or out of Dublin Airport and don’t want to deal with all the traffic and congestion in Dublin then Trim is a perfect alternative, an easy 45 minute, 30 mile drive away. Access to the M1, M3, M4 and M50 motorways are all within 25 – 45 minutes drive making it easy to travel all around Ireland using Trim as your base or a convenient stop-over for those travelling to the west to Connemara or to the north to Belfast, the Titanic exhibitions and the Giant’s Causeway.
